Have You Heard about Chromatic Fonts?
People put color now into fonts but it is a laborious process, and there are no standards; it is done by hand each time. So a number of companies have put forth ideas for how to have color in a typeface. These companies have come together to define one standard. This work is expected to talk about 6 months, at which time the standard will be published - and then all of the Type Foundries can release new fonts and typefaces that support color.
We will be building informational websites about these new fonts. They are called either Chromatic Fonts, Multicolored Fonts, or Polychromatic Fonts. Our sites will be MulticoloredFonts.com, ChromaticType.com, TypefaceBlog.com, and PolychromaticTypefaces.com..
A typeface defines the overall look; and for that look there can be many different individual fonts.
Within a year so so you will be able to use these Multicolored fonts in your favorite publishing system!
