Pesticide Handling Requires Ongoing Vigilence
I recently noticed a spill at Home Depot that was potentially toxic. I gave this situation some thought; so instead of going into social media, like most people do, I instead tried to take a positive and proactive route: I contacted a senior person at Home Depot.
Prat Vemana had been recently hired as Chief Product officer. I told him of my concerns and he got right on it - reviewing the incident, talking to the local store, listening to my suggestions, and improving how Home Depot handles toxic materials in all it's stores!
So it was a positive experience, that resulted in effective change. Prat said, "Kevin, first and foremost we appreciate your commitment to the cause and bringing it our attention."
