2022: The Turning Point in Renewables

Wind and solar hit record levels in 2022, and will continue to grow.  This means that Fossil Fuels have started their decline.  

“A new era of falling fossil emissions means the coal power phase down will happen, and the end of gas power growth is now within sight. Change is coming fast. However, it all depends on the actions taken now by governments, businesses and citizens to put the world on a pathway to clean power by 2040,” according to  Małgorzata Wiatros-Motyka, lead author of the new research.  The report was published by Ember. 
  

2023: More Growth in Wind & Solar

Ember analyzed data from 78 countries representing 93% of global demand for electricity to form its conclusions.  It is projected for 2023 that new demand for energy will be entirely met by growth in Wind & Solar (and ocean wave power), and that Fossil Fuels will decline in output starting in 2023.  

China is the one big question mark, as they keep building new coal plants in China.  The Chinese government needs to embrace wind and solar in their new growth plans.

What are the Renewable Energy Types?

Here is a description of every type of renewable energy resource.  Hydro and Ocean are separated since Hydro (river) power uses distinctly different methods.

Congress Does Not Protect US Healthcare

Preventative care is the best way to be healthier - and to reduce healthcare costs.  But the US is controlled by the insurance industry, so Congress does not encourage preveentative care, especially for the poor.
